Our Mission
Devon’s Legacy Foundation is dedicated to honoring the life and dreams of Devon Nicholas by empowering young individuals who share his passion for service, leadership, and perseverance. Through scholarships, grants, and community programs, we support youth golf development, firefighter training, and leadership development—reflecting the path Devon pursued with unwavering dedication.
By providing resources and opportunities, we inspire the next generation to follow their passions, serve their communities, and achieve their dreams. Guided by the values of commitment, integrity, and selflessness that Devon embodied, we ensure that his legacy continues to make a meaningful impact for years to come.
Our Story
Devon’s Legacy Foundation was founded in February 2025 after Sam experienced the unimaginable loss of her only child, Devon. Just 19 years old, Devon had his whole life ahead of him when a tragic car accident cut his journey short.
From a young age, Devon was driven and full of ambition. He was a skilled golfer, competing in the Junior PGA and demonstrating incredible discipline and focus. As he grew older, his passion shifted toward serving others. He spent several years as part of the Apopka Fire Explorers, preparing for his dream of becoming a firefighter. Devon was dedicated to a life of purpose, service, and leadership—values that now shape the mission of Devon’s Legacy Foundation. Established in his honor, the foundation provides scholarships, mentorship programs, and leadership development to empower the next generation of first responders, and community leaders.
Though his time was far too short, his impact remains. Devon’s unwavering determination and commitment to helping others will continue to inspire generations to come.
